Based on existing concepts and offers to ensure a high teaching quality at the RWTH Aachen University, lecturer competences are fostered through the comprehensive qualification program EXAcT Service. Aim of this project is the uninterrupted and tailor-made qualification of the teaching staff at the RWTH Aachen University to continuously improve the teaching performance. This modular program follows the increasing demand of the faculties for subject-tailored didactic methods for academic purposes. Study courses in engineering and natural science, with their often highly specialized media and subject-related didactical requirements are taken into account specifically. Besides an interdisciplinary basic module, special subject-related modules and individual teaching coachings are offered. The concepts and development of these offers are based on the newest scientific results of the partner-project ExAcT Research. The Centre of Excellence in Academic Teaching (ExAcT) is funded by project “RWTH 2020 – Improving Study Conditions and Teaching Quality Together”.
