The production of fabric-reinforced synthetic components in small and medium-sized companies is currently based on handicraft. Unprofitable production processes (e.g. fabrication preparation and ramp up), unsteady quality and small lots are basic deficits. The project AutoBraid aims to ensure an economic serial production of preforms with the help of a braid process by integrating automatic action methods and online quality assurance to monitor, regulate and control the quality of the braid process.
