The IMA/ZLW & IfU is an interdisciplinary institute cluster at the RWTH Aachen assigned to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It is composed of the Institute of Information Management in Mechanical Engineering (IMA), the Center for Learning and Knowledge Management (ZLW) and the Associated Institute for Management Cybernetics e.V. (IfU). 

The aim of the participating institutes is to implement and professionalize inter- and transdisciplinary methods in research and teaching, and to conduct research on current scientific problems. 

The institute cluster is headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sabina Jeschke and her deputies PD Dr. phil. Ingrid Isenhardt and Dr. rer. nat. Frank Hees. Each institute is led by a managing director: Dr.-Ing. Daniel Schilberg (IMA), Dr. phil. Anja Richert (ZLW), Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Kfm. Eckart Hauck (IfU). The former head of the institute cluster Prof. Dr.-Ing. em. Klaus Henning supports the cluster as a Senior Advisor.
